I am a MD-PhD candidate at Stanford University, with a research focus on regulatory genomics in cardiovascular disease. Previously, I studied developmental biology and history of science at Harvard College. I also hold a MRes in Bioengineering from Imperial College London via the British Marshall Scholarship.

As a science journalist, I cover biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, and funky animals.

Among other topics, I've covered generative AI in biology, COVID (here, here, and here), Roe v Wade, and the marvelous biochemistry of sea cucumbers. I am a contributing writer for WIRED Science and was a 2022 AAAS Mass Media Fellow there.

Here is a running list of some of my written work.

I am currently completing my PhD in Genetics, advised by Jesse Engreitz and supported by the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship. I am particularly interested in leveraging complex biological models to uncover the gene regulatory networks driving congenital heart disease.
